When a studio makes a game that's as successful as this. It's unlikely that they risk it all on a new IP. Developers typically play it safe.

Yeah but Santa Monica didn't make the PSP versions. They only made three God of War games. 2 on PS2 and One on PS3.

Ready at Dawn made the 2 PSP titles.

The story of God of war is over. And even the motivation - cough... headtearing bloodlust - on the third one was getting thin. Fun but thin.

Who is Kratos going to fight and why...?

I actually wouldn't mind a new IP, I just think they'll stick to GOW one more time. I guess, like you said, we'll see in the future.

Maybe E3 2011?

I don't know. Maybe Kratos is done for know.

Well the main story was but like with god of war there are a fare few prequels ^^ or atleats i think it was ment to be a trilogy lol
