It's interesting to note that Sheriff Dupnik was actually one of the first to start pushing "the Tea Party did it" meme, and it's also interesting that he acknowledged that Loughner has a history of making death threats. I hope the media can shut the fuck up about Sarah Palin long enough to see if the sheriff's department dropped the ball on Loughner, either out of sheer incompetence or perhaps because they looked the other way as a favor to Loughner's mother (who works for Pima County Park and Recreation services) and father (who works for the local Child Protective Service). If it's the latter, it would certainly explain why the sheriff was trying to deflect and politicize the issue, aside from his being a rabid partisan.

Actually the overwhelming majority of self-defined libertarian groups in Europe are of anarco-sindacalist matrix, offspring of historical anarchism, consider themselves roughly part of what is generally called the left wing and are opposed to the doctrine of complete economic laissez-faire, perceived as an an environment mostly tuned to the interests of big multinational corporations. It's the american (capitalistic) libertarian movement that is considered somewhat of an odd duck, but you might say that it's basically the same term being used to denote very different things.

Historical anarchism shared with marxism the praxis and theory of the liberation of downtrodden masses, mainly country workers back in the 19th century. In 1848 Paris, red and black flags were placed together side by side on the barricades. In Spain's civil war the perceived betrayal of the social revolution by the PCE was all the more bitter for anarchists and POUM as they had fought together with the communists up to the point when the Soviet Union diktat asked for a quelching of the workers' insurgence. Still, even though they did not share the marxist analysis and theory, that was an occasion when the anarchists were able to actually try out the bottom-up, self-organized, small scale collectivistic communities that were the actual goal of anarchic insurrections in backward rural areas.

If your counting Left Libretarians and anarchists... well that's the closest this guy counts politics wise, as all of the books he liked were basically man vs the establishment.

I want to look a bit again at what can be quantified as hatred. and individuals who are of this ilk, who end up having very much hateful thoughts, and likely not to be considered civil.  YES, the internet gives you the ability to be one, and one can say that, "Well, the person isn't like that in real life."  Well, if you give someone something to hide behind, theor true thoughts come out.  Consider one, Rich Becker, who ran into my story about my being laid off, and suggested unemployed should kill themselves, in order to lower his taxes.  He has some other ditties.  Anyhow, here you go, a sampling of his "finest":

So, there you go.  Anyone want to speak up here?  Yes, one has every right to say whatever you want.  But, if people shun this Rich Becker (oh and forbid that an employer find out and he get fired and can't find work, because he would have to off himself to lower taxes) well I say they have the right to do so.

Apparently Peter King decided to match Bob Brady's stupidity and intends to propose a bill that will make it illegal to carry a gun within 1000 feet of a government official. Because Loughner wouldn't have shot Giffords if there had been a law against it!

Meanwhile former Congressman Paul Kanjorski takes a break from his busy schedule of calling for Governor Rick Scott to be put against the wall and shot to remind us all that creating an atmosphere of civility is important, or something.

Why does the msm media refuse to work.  Why do they lazily imply it was Palin when there are facts that can be looked at?  Why do they make up a story?  

Some facts:

He didn't believe the world you and I lived in was real(sounds like the matrix) he was very unstable.

He lived with his parents and according to people who knew him he was obviously unstable

The killers parents worked for the town government

The chief threw out a few names who had a hand in this with obviously no proof

Now maybe a reporter might actually do some work and wonder why the Chief tried to take the spot light off himself and on to someone else who DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS?
