when you talk about repetitive, you gotta consider.. yeah, every game asks you to do the same thing over again, but in some games it doesn't 'feel' the same, because some extra elements are added, something new is given to the scene, and instead of repetitive, it's addictive.
in contrast, some games just ask you to do the EXACT SAME THING, without anything new, no extra level, nothing. the game that fits that mold best is demon's souls. i will never understand why people like that game. it just asks you to repeat the exact same level you just did a few minutes ago in a long and boring process of trial and error.
at least in other games, yeah you repeat the same actions, but they're done in different levels with varying factors and circumstances with some kind of plot/story twist mixed in. demon's souls is like.. eating rice forever without anything else on it.

Space Invaders.
Though that's part of its charm.
Pixel Art can be fun.
Dynasty Warrior, Warrior Orochi and Samurai Warrior are very repetitive. FFXIII also repetitve but I still like it.
