Forums - Gaming - What's the most repetitive game you have played?

So what's the most repetitive game that you have played? Repetitive games that make you do the same thing, again, and again, and again over and over. You'd feel a sense of deja vu or "sh*t, didn't I do this before?" playing the game throughout. Which game made you feel like that?

My choice would be Folklore. Its too repetitive for me. 2nd choice would be crackdown.

Dynasty Warriors

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

Final Fantasy XIII, press X - L1 - X - L1 - X - L1. That was the game.

Izuna 2: Legend of the Unemplyed Ninja Returns. You just attack, gain exp, then fight some more until you die or reach the very end of the dungeon which could take a while since some dungeons can have like 8 -20 levels and even more than that. But for some reason I still keep playing it; I dont know why.

Early Ubisoft games have been pretty repetitive this gen.

Assassin's Creed

Far Cry 2

Prince of Persia

But all of them very fun still.

Assassins Creed & Alan Wake

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Too Human, I kind of liked it but it was the same thing over and over again.

All Call of Duty games this gen.

Kill a bunch of baddies, move, kill more baddies, move, level passed and repeat for the rest of the game.  Don't get me started on the online.

Favorite Games of All-Time:

1.  Star Ocean 3   2. Kingdom Hearts:  Birth by Sleep  3. Kingdom Hearts 1/2  4.  Metal Gear Solid 4    5.  Super Mario 3  6.  Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess/Ocarina of Time  7. Uncharted 2

I hate to say it, but its got to be FFXIII for me. I couldn't sit there for hours on end playing it like I could with the older games, as it just felt like it was doing everything for you at the push of a button :S

The first Assassin's Creed was pretty repetitive as well. Every kill was done in the same way and there really wasn't any creativity at all. Ex. kill, run away, climb, jump into a cart of hay and hide. Atleast the 2nd game and Brotherhood has a lot more creativity when it comes to assassinating your target, and of course all the side missions etc.
