Curious to see what Minesweeper, FreeCell and some of your other favorite Windows games would be like if they were controlled using only your ghastly human form? Good news -- when asked by the BBC whether Kinect functionality would soon come to Windows-based computers, CEO Steve Ballmer explained that Microsoft "will support that in a formal way in the right time."

Given the peripheral's sales success and the overflowing passion of the modding community (already using Kinect with PCs), we'd say the right time is "now." We're fine if Microsoft wants to take its sweet time, though -- we're not sure we're ready for our Kinect to watch us while we work, anyways. It can be so judgmental!

If it comes to PC i will lol at Xbox's across the nation (lol i jk...kinda) Still wont get one though :P

Why? As far as I know most people expected it to come to the pc. I dont think any less of my 360 controller cause I use it for my pc games.

On another note, if they do anouce it for pc I wonder if it will be the same kinect or a different version better suited to a smaller space for single peron to  use, perhaps more precise so it can see fingers. I can't wait for this, if it works out well it will be my new prefered input device for everything except typing.

They said that it was going to PC quite a while ago.

I imagine they will wait until it has boosted Xbox sales more significantly though, before they do an official PC release.
