2011 could be the year Wii tops 100M and when it does everyone should congratulate it as it will be the first non playstation console to hit 100M!.

In addition, it'll also be the fastest home console to hit 100m, and the only one to ever manage it without a system refresh/redesign.

didn't the ps1 redesign come after the ps2

Varied by market.  In Japan it did, but in America and Europe the PSone came before PS2.

The original PlayStation sold somewhere around 70m units iirc (with PSone contributing another ~30m), so Wii's already well past that.  I'm not sure what exactly the PS2 and PS2slim breakdown is, but I doubt either made it to 100m (though perhaps the slim yet could?).

I do think we could see a "low cost" Wii revision yet though, possibly even after Wii 2 launches.  Nintendo did that for both NES and SNES way back.  If that happens, it still has a chance to catch PS2 imo.
