I'm about 4 hours into Nier, and so far, it's pretty good. The story is nothing to write home about so far, but the characters are interesting and the battle system is pretty fun. The best thing about Nier is Kaine's theme. MY GOD, that piece is god sent. The rest of Nier soundtrack is amazing too, but Kaine's theme has to be one of the best character themes I've ever heard in a jrpg.

Now tell me, when will Nier's storyline get good?

Also, I don't think the grapics are as bad as people say it is. I think it's good.

The story gets better at the end of part 1.

Ya was about to say this, the first part is mostly character development, and learning about the world. 

Nier is definitely one of my favorite games this gen. I hope that saga rumor is true.

Im thinking about buying this game. Should I get it for xbox 360 or PS3? Achievements and trohies don't matter to me. I just want to know which one has a better performance even if its not noticable. Is it multiple disks for xbox 360?

I rented the game last night and played a bit too. I'm playing on Hard difficulty... and I'm not sure if it's only because I'm playing on Hard, but killing enemies take forever!

Also, I don't care about the main character's little girl. I hope the story becomes more interesting soon...

Hard difficulty takes FOREVER to kill enemies. Especially the mid-game boss. OMG that felt like a 3 hour fight.

Same here. I'm only about 5 hours into the game now, but from what I've played, this whole father/daughter thing could have been done MUCH better in my opinion.

Yeah, I also started the game at hard, and it was a bad move. This so called "Hard" mode doesn't make battles any harder, it just makes them longer.
