Well not all hackers don't have the same intensions as this guy. Most hackers pirate games.

Nothing wrong with a lil hacking IMO
XBOX and Wii have been hacked and cracked for years.
Not sure why this is such a big deal.
Sony should hire GEOHOT to make their next system more secure
I think its just a matter of days until somebody updates this firmware to be able to play pirated games. But i don't we will see alot of people pirating games for a few reasons.
1. Most people won't know how to or are too scared of bricking to flash their ps3
2. Alot of computers don't have bluray burners to make the discs. And most of the population aren't computer savy enough to put a burner in their computer.
3. The file sizes are quite large. Wasn't metal gear solid 35 gig? Who would want to download a 35 gig file. This is the main reason that will keep the piracy down.
Maybe i'm wrong on everything i've said but i don't see the ps3 lossing that many sales over this.
Been wondering, how does the ps store fit into all of this and the games available there.

You mean if the encryption code was used to pirate PSN games?
If so , it would be the exact same vulnerable position as any piece of PS3 software because the code is universal to all software on the ps3.
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

If psn games are in trouble as well, I feel for the 2man team game makers who won't see a penny of their hard work.
