Angry Birds Flocking to PS3

Rovio announced this week that their iPhone and Android game, Angry Birds will be available on the Sony PlayStation 3 and the PSP consoles.

This very popular game has already been downloaded 40 million times since late 2009.  The game will be released on Jan. 5 for around $4 for those of you who like to hurl birds at things.

Peter Vesterbacka, chief executive of Rovio Mobile Ltd., told BBC that Angry Birds 2 will soon be released:  “Let’s say that you will see a lot more of the pigs.”

I played a little in iPhone... the game is so funny and good.

I will buy it on PSN today.

I was expecting to see a youtube vid of a ps3 in a nest with angry birds attacking it.

I am disappoint.

I personally don't like it.

It's the same as hundreds of free games on the internet that I played many years ago.

Angry Birds is the example of what an iOS game should be! and proof that iPhone games can be able to run better on Android!

It runs great, looks great and plays awesome in my Samsung Captivate (running on FROYO)

Can't wait for Angry Birds 2!!

One thing SONY needs to do with there PSP phone and PSP2 is buy up good IOS studios or sign exclusive contacts to produce mini games for there portable hardware.

And they also should create an easy dev kit software and put it on the internet for free for devs to make and upload for free or sell on an PSP store. An focus on games instead of apps on its competitor itunes store.

But also have it android so you can get the android apps as well and then can download thousands of games on an PSP store.

Thats how the PSPhone and PSP2 can be successful

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

I loved this game on the Droid.  I heard it was coming to every platform (in Gamrfeed, no less).  I hope there's a DSiWare version (or a Wii version).  I'd love to play through it again.  Hell, I may even try the PS3 version if there's a demo and it works well (not sure how a controller will feel vs. touch screen/motion controls).
