Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo 3DS smuggled off a Chinese assembly line

Someone has a Nintendo 3DS. Who is that someone? Well it’s apparently a Chinese factory worker who smuggled the device off-site. Problem is, he posted it on a forum (I believe it’s this forum) but the thread was deleted. Probably because it’s like, illegal.

Updated: We’ve got new photos with the back cover off, with the 3DS beside Nintendo’s other handhelds and a shot that confirms this device has no software installed on it at this point in time.

Updated Again: Yep, even more photos now. What an awesome leak.

Was just about to post it too. I am not usually into handhelds as an Android is enough for me, but that looks frigging sweet.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

If this is real, how come it is in black? I thought it was supposed to come in two colors, none of them black?

Also, anyone knowwhat that BIG white button on the left is?

Btw, in several days it's Nintendo World in Japan and we should probably get official pics anyway...

I think it's an analog stick. Could be wrong though.

It is not a button it is an analogue stick

Seems like some people still do not know about it. Yes guys it has an analogue stick just like the N64

It also has Gyros and motion sensors built in. This makes it so that when you are in FPS mode in games programmed for it you can move the 3DS and the view moves with it in-game. The bottom screen is touch I do not know if it is multi touch though I think Nintendo should have added that in as it can be used in different ways in games.

And the new big thing in it is 3D without glasses :D :P

This is for the people that still think 3DS is still a DS with better graphics and some 3D slapped in to it :P

It also has three cameras one over the top screen and two on the back so that you can take 3D pictures with it.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

it looks almost like a ds

That's the slide pad; it works rather like an analog stick, but it doesn't stick out much.

nice to see it has 96 MB of RAM though that could just be for the SDK... I hope the retail unit has just as much... this thing is practically a portable Wii ;D

Regarding FPS games, I'm still a bit skeptical about being able to view the 3D effect while tilting the machine... I hope that's something thay work out at an early stage.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
