Btw really what's up with DKCR?? I went to the UK last week and could barely find it! It was outside the top 20 in the wii charts in HMV and Game... weird

UK Chart

360 18 titles. 9 up, 2 down, 1 stayed the same position and 6 entered chart
PS3 8 titles, 2 up and 6 down
Wii 10 titles, 2 up, 5 down and 3 stayed the same



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Because that I estimated Kinect Sport > 50k (not >=).

So if GT5 = 50k Kinect Sport = 51k or more... if GT5 = 50k Kinect Sport = 61k or more.

Anyway Kinect Sport SOLD MORE THAN GT5... between 51k and 70k.

Dunno. I'm hearing some retailers don't have it, and GAME have jacked up the price to a ridiculous £43.

I saw that too!!! thats true... wth was up with that? maybe they didnt anticipate the huge demand for a title that never really did well in EU?

GT5 still #1 in the UK? Didn't realize that end of EMEAA loved GT so much.

That's PS3 only chart.

I'm aware, but it was my understanding that the UK was one of it's weakest regions. So far, it doesn't seem to be doing too bad there.


Common misconception

The PS3 has sold more in the UK than any other country in Europe... just like the Wii and 360.  It just happens to be along way behing the 360 and Wii in total lifetime sales.

The UK isnt a weak market for any console... well... except maybe the PSP... we are the epitome of fair minded unbiasedness you see.   

I think he meant that compared to hw base GT is (or at least has been) smaller in UK than other big Europen countries so in that way UK would be ''weakest market'' for GT. Of course as hw base in Europe is till biggest in UK GT sells most there unit wise but attach rate will be bigger in other countries. If I remember right though GT5 has already sold almost as much as GT4 did in UK so franchise has definitely grown.
