I haven't heard any whining about Sonic, but I've seen absolutely loads for MH3, which IMO is partially justified due to the fact that it was originally a PS3 exclusive.

I remember a lot of people being unhappy when NBA Jam was Wii exclusive and the same with Tatsunoko vs Capcom, until MvC3 was announced.

I can some wanting MH3, but most of the fans are perfectly happy playing it on a handheld.

Dark Requiem covered the response regarding Monster Hunter 3, and you can see from the recent speculation of Monster Hunter Portable jumping ship to 3DS that a lot of users around here are still clamoring for an HD Monster Hunter. As for Sonic Colors, read the very last sentence of the review

As much as I am a Nintendo Loyalist,  Soul Calibur needs to stay in HD consoles, But we all got to admit that Link in SC 2 will always be Soul calibur's baddest character, followed closely by Kilik.

Wow, 1 review says it wants it doesn't mean the majority do. Most people don't care flat out about Sonic games these days ...

I think you need to understand, HD users do want certain games wii gets, but not in their current state on Wii.

If I could have Epic Mickey on 360 as it is on Wii, I wouldn't want it :

Are you people joking???? HD gamers dont complain near as much as the Ninty guys about not getting games. for god's sake there are STILL people crying about DeadSpace, RE5, SSF4, SC4, GTA hell the list goes on and on.

@lordtheknight  even more reason to stop complaining, if this crap hasnt changed in four years what makes you think that 3rd parties will all of a sudden start to care. At least switch up your tactics because what fans have been doing cleary does not work

Though by that same token, we want HD games in a Wii fashion, the same game just re-optimized for Wii controls, something Activision's managed quite well when Infinity Ward's ego wasn't getting in the way, and something some other developers have also managed, but others (Bandai Namco among them) have failed horribly at.

The point of this is cross-platform envy goes multiple ways. You'll never get precisely all you want in one platform, and as much as many gamers would deny it (yet by their own actions affirm it), there is HD->Wii envy on a number of points

Pretty much every 3rd party Wii exclusive worth wanting (which admittedly is a shorter list) has had its own degree of "this should've been on PS360" much like many of the games on PS360 that would have been a good fit for Wii. Also there's a bit of confusion with game envy vs franchise envy, in that some Wii owners wanted a dead space, not the dead space, and certainly not the dead space they sent our way for $50 and then later decided the game was worth $0 as a PSN pack-in. Similarly with GTA, though that's more on the DS side

Street Fighter and Soul Calibur were more a case of pointing out third parties "we'll gladly put it on any platform that doesn't start with an N" mentality, where they'll go for PSP or iPhone with ease, but never touch Wii (or to an extent, DS for some of the worse offenders like iD, Epic, and Bethesda). Street Fighter IV ended up on iPhone and Soul Calibur on PSP (as we've been discussing here)

Monster Hunter 3 and Dragon Quest X have probably generated the most consternation from HD-only gamers so far, DQX easily generating as much angst as Resident Evil 5 did

At least petitioning is way better than the typical HD elitistic crap "MH3 should have been on a real console", "My eyes hurt", "HD is like crack", etc.

@mr.khan EA isnt giving DS:extraction away you have to buy DS2 to get it, and the PSN version will still cost money(i'm getting that cause I love light gun games)

Soul Calibur only appeared on ONE Ninty console in its history prior to Legends b4 that is was DC exclusive and B4 that when it was still Called Edge/Blade it was PS exclusive I never really got why some Ninty fans feel that just cause they made ONE game they are obligated to bow b4 Ninty and put it on Wii. As for Street Fighter, yeah that kind of foul, I hold SF in the same vein as Tetris, IMHO if your console doesnt have at least one iteration of that game it can never be a perfect system, but it is heading to 3DS.

I do see how MH3 pissed of some HD gamers, but thats just one game and I still dont see it as much as what Wii gamers complain about, and i havent seen that much for Dragon Quest either. Fortunately for me I own a Wii and really dont care about either of those franchises so   yeah
