Forums - Gaming - Rumor: Monster Hunter likely heading to another platform, 3DS mentioned!

If their smart they would realese the next Monster Hunter on both the 3ds and PSP. Then they would have a massive audience to sell it to. If the devices have nearly the same power it could be the new standard that good games are realesed multiplatform (same as PS3 and X360).

The 3DS is going to be even more of a monster.  Maybe they might have to change the controls as I can't imagine the 'MH Claw' working on the 3DS.

This thread is funny though

more some people's reactions and their posts.  Like how the 3DS is simply 'a PSP with 3D and a much higher price tag', that kind of thing.

More Monster hunter means more awesome, Can't say I blame capcom for combining the most popular franchise with what is likely to be the most popular hardware

most popular hardware?

that seems to be an over the top comment

kinect is the most popular recent gaming HW right now

3DS seems to popular but nowhere near the most popular

OT:

i think they will port MH3RD PORTABLE  to 3ds and see what the sales are like,if they are good then they will continue on 3DS

if not then PSP2 will get the next game exclusive

definitions to help you understand

likely- has a good chance of being

to be- copular of the english language

context should have been understood as Japan as was implied with Monster Hunter's popularity

so the statement directs you to the understanding that the 3ds has a good chance of being the most popular hardware in Japan

alot can be likely,we can't predict that type of thing

PS3 please

well it is kind of DUUHHHHH!! for me as i have been saying this for some time now. even Capcom wants too see these monsters in 3D!

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Expected. Now lets wait and see how it will sell. Tough if it changes platform for good, I have a feeling that MHP3 will be the peek of the series.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I am certain there will be an iteration on the 3DS, I can't see Capcom passing on the chance (and sales potential) of a MH in 3D.

That said, specifically in this quote it could be he meant 3DS, but could also be he meant PS3. Now that they got lots of money from the PSP version, they may decide they can now afford to risk the expense of a PS3 version.

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Epic meltdowns make this news even more delicious.

I've always really liked Capcom so it's really nice to see them supporting the 3DS with all their major franchises. This new handheld console feels as much Capcom's baby as it does Nintendo's!
