Imax is one of the big movie theater businesses right? They have a special craft for making 3D look half way decent I hear. Not a bad idea I think since ALL movies have to be in 3D now. -.-

IMAX's purpose is also to increase the image's(movie's) resolution by a mile.

The new Batman movie isn't going to be in 3D. They say they are instead opting for an all out IMAX experience.

Dark Knight was only partially shot in IMAX.

I've never seen an IMAX movie. 

Also The Dark Knight was only partially shot in IMAX. With the new movie they are going to shoot it all in IMAX.

So maybe it will be my first one.

C. Nolan filmed some sequences in the dark knight using IMAX cameras but of course not for 3d but for better resolution. They even managed to smash one.
