I'm not sure... if you start counting since I got my first game with trophy support I'd say it took me around 9-10 months... if you start counting since I got my PS3 then it'd be around 1 year.

I think you need to get 6000 trophy points to get to Level 7.

Each retail game gives you 15 points for bronzes, 30 points for silvers, 90 points for golds and 180 points for the platinum, making a total of 1230 points (without counting DLC trophies...). The only exception to this (out of the games I played) is Final Fantasy XIII which only makes a total of 1215 points... it's as if it was missing a bronze... I don't know if other games do that.

That means the minimum ammount of games you need to get to level 7 is 5 (without DLC) because 1230 * 5 = 6150... but if you don't platinum all the games you get then you'll need more games to get to that level.

didn't play much games in 2009 (got PS3 in late 08) but i scored alot of trophies when buying alot of 2009 games and 2010 games

Well, I got my first trophy-enabled games, really, at the end of 2008. That's two years, and I'm level 12 now. So I may have been a little faster than you, but then I'm very slow.

Man 7 is nothing, I don't even know how long I've been stuck on 12. It's been several months since I leveled up but I haven't played that much.

like 3 months....I got it this year on Feb and I'm in lvl 10 :D

It took me 2 platinum games and a few other games with a bit of trophy whoring to get to L7 in about 1 year. Really crawling my way to L8.

I'm on level 3 and I've had mine since launch day. XP

I'm on level 4, had my PS3 since Nov 09.

FIRST POST OF THE NEW YEAR!!! (I think)

I really can't remember. I just turned Level 12 after beating Black Ops a few days ago.

Had my PS3 since Feb '10. Took me like 7 months, with 2 platinums and 9 games, I guess.

(I'm 8 right now but haven't syncd my trophies)
