What about Turkey? Really liked Istanbul, great city.

But seriously, after having seen the Great Wall, the Pyramids, Teotihuacan, Matchu Picchu, Tikal, Palenque, Chitchen Itza, The Vatican, Angkor Wat, The Forbidden City, Petra was still impressive and ranks among the best of them.

And you can always say: been there! when you watch Indiana Jones.

I am going to Istanbul too.

Been to Machu Pichu, the great wall, the vatican, the pyramids, the Acropolis, Eiffel Tower, Forbidden City, Red Square, Coliseum.

And I remember that Indiana Jones movie lol.

well, then if you miss Petra and Wadi Rum, you miss out on that kind of experience. If you need some info, pm me. I have been there twice recently and can give you ideas on "How to do Jordan in 4 days" including spending a night in the desert etc..

Oh, and in Istanbul, check out the cistern under the city. must be really cool, i missed it and now i have to go back....

also, in Turkey, there is a place with white chalk waters which is really cool.
