I get that, but from the descriptions I've read of Black City it sounds like you have access to new trainers and shops, but not actually catching new Pokemon, while the White Forest lets you explore and encounter wild Pokemon. Not sure how accurate that is though.

The difference is very minor and you could trade to get the missing pokemon.

Not really. Worst case scenario is that 3DS purchasers will invest in Black and White instead of an additional 3DS game, but if you are going to buy a 3DS you will buy at least some 3DS software anyway.

This! People are talking as if tgose who will pick up 3DSs will not be buying at least 1-2 games with it.

Man Nintendo I am in debt from Christmas. I won't have the debt paid off in time for March but with 3DS I need to buy the console and one or two more games. Now I have to buy Pokemon too, dangit all. Oh well I bet I'll be playing Pokemon while my 3DS games gather dust (Hopefully not).

Also somebody said something about special features if played with the 3DS? I never heard of those can you explain?

they're timeless to me, but lately i've not been able to play them as religiously as i did years ago. for me, its one of those games that i invest my life and lives of potential children into for a few months, and then slowly grow tired of it. at least if i get stuck, anyway.. i'm such an irresponsible gamer ._.;

Jesus christ, NOA is really pumping out the DS RPGs. Over the last 2 years we'll have had...

  • Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
  • Pokemon Platinum
  • Fossil Fighters
  • Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story 
  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
  • The Glory of Heracles 
  • Pokemon Heart Gold / Soul Silver 
  • Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
  • Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs
  • Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
  • Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
  • Pokemon Black / White
...and there's still other possible stuff on the table too like Inazuma Eleven, Fire Emblem: Heroes of Light and Darkness, Super Fossil Fighters, Dragon Quest Monsters JOKER 2, Ninokuni: The Ebony Wizard... plus they could always go into the back catalogue like Iwata hinted (Soma Bringer, Card Hero, ASH, etc).  Kind of insane, Nintendo's really become an RPG powerhouse and barely anyone's noticed.  They've released more RPGs in the past 2 years on *just* DS than Square Enix USA has overall. :/
