It's a solid game. Easily sunk 80 hours on first playthrough.

Expect to play nothing else until this game is done. I got it on Gamecube after I already had a 360 and I didn't touch my 360 for a week (maybe longer) until this game was done. My biggest concern is that there are going to be some things that people who've played every iteration of the Zelda games will have learned from years and years of playing this series that a new comer might get stopped dead in their tracks by (like lighting torches to open doors or something). Either way, I'm sure you'll love it.
I would REALLY like to see your impressions as you play the game. Seeing people enjoy a game that I enjoyed makes me feel good.

Maybe I'll make a thread about when I'm done.
I probably won't get the game until around New Year's though because I'm currently busy with other games.

That's cool. But this is one of those games where there is no doubt in my mind that you will love--espescially if you're new to the series. Most people's only gripe was that it was too similar to previous Zeldas. I'd add this to the short list of Metal Gear Solid 3, Uncharted 2, Mario World, and a few others that I think are absolutely perfect.
--Oops. Now I've done it. I overhyped it.
Well, it's not that similar to SOTC, SOTC is an outstanding game, so is TLOZ:TP, but in SDTC you have to travel from outstanding boss to another, while in TP you clear all those temples, and fight samll enemies, personally TP is my favorite game of this gen.

Not the best Zelda. Not the worst. The story is simple, but you would understand better after you play Ocarina of Time.
You can download A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Great games. Also, if you can, get The Wind Waker.
Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever
Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe
Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor
Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

IF you get it (which I recommend) Id go for the GC version your paying less for essetially the same game. The motion controls IMO didnt warrant the extra cash
