Looks at the OP, looks at the thread title, turns and leaves the thread. Sad.

So people pretty much shouldn't post bad news, because it might it hurt the feelings of some over (enter console) indulged fans.

This site is getting bloody pathetic, everyone is getting so damn defensive over nothing and it was a pretty calm thread until the 360 Defence Force (Koweniki) came rushing in, while his merry men followed soon after.

People have got to learn how to have reasonable discussions about the topic at hand, instead of posting stupid comments that contribute nothing to the topic.

I'll contribute to the discussion. Microsoft better not have a shitty year in 2011, otherwise I'm chucking my 360 at grandmas house so the cousins can have something to muck around with. I've been extremely satisfied with their output this year, hopefully I can say the same at the end of the next year.

Way to prove a point, some peoples mental capacity for thought outstands me.  I seem to recall similar crap like this being posted last year and how 2010 was the year of the PS3, see how that one turned out.  The OP and the guy quoted in the article doesn't have a clue about what will, or not be released next year yet.  Games slip, games that have gone under the radar come to the fore.  It's doom mongering simply for the sake of it.

My comment said my thoughts quite clear, this thread is pointless and deliberately started to cause trouble.  It was neither stupid or contributing nothing as you've decided to come in and flame me for having an opinion on it.  Now step off your soap box and go antagonise someone who cares about what you think.

Merry Christmas

All so very true.  And kowen got banned because he saw through it, is sick of it freely happening on the boards and lost his cool.

The reality is that such patterns actually encourage more stealth trolling.  It's usually played innocently enough that it gets a pass but is potent enough to stir stuff up.  Take a look at the most recent WW thread for a textbook example of that in play (even though the instigator allegedly got a warning).

OT: The original story was classic blogger flame bait to create hits instead of presenting an honest representation of fact.  Regardless, I'm curious about the 2011 360 lineup whatever it may entail.

Yeah I have to agree, and like I touched on earlier, certain PS3 fans like to post it as it's their form of "rule breaking" if you like and being able to get away with it, but in doing so they just show themselves up to the community.

There are lots of stealth rule breaking going on and that's what is bringing the site down more than anything else.

Edit - and yes Wii and 360 fans do the same, but not to the same lengths I see negative 360 threads pop up, perhaps because Sony fans are about 45% of the site.

"abuse statistics" it's a pretty accurate guess actually. Noone in their right mind that's been here for more than 5 minutes would say 360 members come even close to half the amount of PS3 members here.

Sounds like great news for 360 fans to me, how is this negative?

So what have we learned today?

#1.) If you post anything negative it makes you a hater. Negative news should always be ignored.

#2.) If you don't like Kinect it makes you a hater who doesn't own a 360. All 360 owners love Kinect.

I learned a lot today. Merry Christmas.

Not at all, it always amuses me how pro PS3/fans always post negative news as if they're concerned though ^^

you mean like this guy?

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=121214

you've been in this site longer than me so im pretty sure you know that this dude have posted a lot of PS3 bashing threads I know I have seen him and I have only started lurking in this site 5 months ago.

i really don't get all the anger in this thread!

kinect is a great success for microsoft and that is also due to their fans supporting it in the way they did.

and now it's suddenly "bad" news if microsoft actually focuses on their success?

what did people expect would happen with Kinect now?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Amen to that.

It's a joke that a moderator with a clear bias always leave the stealth trolling happen for free, but if you point towards that trolling, you get a ban. I would like to ask for a revision of Zexen_lowe moderation history.

i fail to see it either. all microsoft said is that there would be plenty of titles for something that cost them 150 bucks, so thats good right?

they didnt say the titles would be casual games so i'm guessing the xbox360 fans acusing the poster of trolling based on the fact that he's a ps3 fan are being defensive cause they just dont like kinect?

it's the only way to understand these reactions, we all know that the xbox360 will have non-kinect games coming next year.
