When I first joined VGC earlier this year, it was a much better community.

gt5 has sold 1 mllion in NA in 4 weeks, over 500k in Japan.

Does it really matter who "saves" a game...I'm pretty sure the only thing that really matters is whether or not it sells amazing, which it is.  I mean, if you have the greatest selling game of all time, and it only sold 50 copies outside of Japan...would stuff like this really be stated still?

It's a Huge success on Earth and that's all that matters.

The DKCR debate has been settled.  I remember a few months back at how vehement some posters were that DKCR would sell at most 1-2 million-- basing these numbers off of more recent DK games. Many of those posters that suggested DKCR would sell 5-10 million were ridiculed.

3rd party games on the Wii are doing quite well right now.  Epic Mickey, Just Dance 1&2, Michael Jackson, Goldeneye, Black Ops, and more.

You have to give it to the Wii, Kinect/Move,  it sells no matter what, you can say whatever you want but that console sells software, my God.

One warning I got for a potential bannable offense on here was to start a thread asking that similar question.  But, if you ask that, then why doesn't the PS3 outsell the Wii, since it is supposed to be a superior product in every way to it?  I suggest you not call people in an area "uninformed", "stupid" or anything derogatory about them.

The 360 is less expensive for one thing.  Outside of BluRay ability, the 360 is comparable to the PS3.  It is a matter of who owns what, and what is preferred.  The original XBox, last generation, was said to be superior to the PS2 in every way.  So, why did the PS2 outsell it?  Well, you get part of the answer now. 

And Kinect likely does have something to do with it.  At a physical therapy place I go to rehab at, they have a Wii and a 360 with Kinect.  They each have games that they can use to help people.  No PS3 anywhere.

Its something that people don't want to talk about at all any more, but remember all of the Dreamcast 2 talk?  Remember the RRoD stigma?  Or how about the snub for MGS4 and initial ones for Tekken, DMC and FFXIII.  The CONSTANT demeaning from Sony execs prior to and after the PS3 launch (even to this very day).

Or how about how analyst, Sony execs, many gaming and non-gaming journalist and innumerable legions of gamers all basically felt that it was a lame duck console at launch and was going to be blown out of the waters by the PS3.  Sony had sold over 100 million consoles for the last two generations, dominance in every region on earth.  The previous gen had seen simply the potential of the PS2 CRUSH the Dreamcast and force Sega out of the console race.  They were the 100 lb gorilla that declared that the next generation of gaming doesn't start until they arrive.

Yet ..... here were are ... 2010.  5 years after launching.  The Xbox 360, with no price cut for over 2 years, has its single best sales week ever.  And over 4 of those five years, to this 100 lb. gorilla, it has only given up 1.3 million of its one year lead.

Remember your HISTORY, fellow gamers.  The Xbox 360 has done the improbable and deserves recognition and acclaim.

And don't even get me started on the story of the Wii ...
