Forums - General Discussion - Guess who wants to legalize pot?!?

Never in a million years would I guess the man would come out being in favor of legalization. This is a GREAT day for freedom in America.

For what its worth, Pat Robertson is one of the crazier anti-everything guys out there. He still has a bit of clout in Christian circles, so him coming out in favor of it may go far enough to help swing the near split on its legalization.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Holy crap I agree with him. Imprisoning people for having pot for personal use is just stupid.

A joyess day to see the Christian right finally realizing the prohibition of Marijuana is a futile effort.

In 2012 both Colorado and California will vote to legalize marijuana for their states. Legalizing marijuana barely failed in California this year but it was the closest ever. In Colorado though recent polls have shown that the majority of the people think the drug should be legal. The youth vote that will show up to reelect President Obama will also vote to legalize the drug because the youth vote is smaller for midterm elections than it is for Presidential elections. Also I cannot see it failing in both states especially Colorado because medical marijuana is everywhere here and people are excepting it as a normal thing like drinking alcohol. I got my medical card just to spite the government on it's anti-freedom stance on Marijuana.  Pot is a safer drug than alcohol and people are finally realizing the drug war is a failed ambition.

Also don't forget that Marijuana is legal in the capital of Colorado, Denver so there is hope!

You should see the lies they said about marijuana in anti-drug classes over here.

"I don't understand how someone could like Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky, but not like Twilight!!!"

"Last book I read was Brokeback Mountain, I just don't have the patience for them unless it's softcore porn."

You should tell us.  It would be fun.

As for the legalization of Marijuana... good.

I've seen people ruin their lives thanks Marijuana,(believe it or not, it does happen.) but it's exactly that.... their lives.

brings me back to health class: "Pot is one of the worst things you can possibly do to yourself! 1 hit and your automatically hooked forever and will slowly melt away into a useless pile of diseased flesh"...im pretty much summarizing my health teacher and the school nurse's words. of course, this is the same nurse who believes that if you drink even one beer in a month, your an alcoholic...

pot will become legal(probably with a little hitch that says you have to be so-so years old to do it) and everybody will do it for a year. then most will stop because it wont be as fun since it isnt illegal. i personally wont smoke it. smoking is gross. but good for those who will get a kick out of this.
