Well I guess I stick to red because it's cheaper! Wish I could get black or blue more, but they didn't taste that much different to me to justify the cost. Going against the grain of your thread though I still usually buy Jack Daniels!

Unlike my late dad, I'm not a whisky fan, but I find Lagavulin 16yrs excellent. And despite finding its petroleum taste quite a perversion, I like some Laphroaig every now and then. And I guess I will eventually have to try Ardbeg Supernova. Amongst the blended, I think I like only J&B.
But normally I prefer rum (I always keep some Havana Club 3 and 7 years and some Pampero Aniversario), calvados, armagnac, pear brandy, plum brandy and some grappa.
I don't always drink Scotch but when I do, it's Dos Equis.

Is that the one that tastes like you're drinking a campfire?
I had that once a restaurant and it was awesome. I keep meaning to get a bottle but I always forget about it when I do my scotch shopping,

Right that. Very rich in peat smoke flavour. It's very particular. Searching around, I found about that Ardbeg, that has more than 58% alcohol and should be even richer in peat smoke, I'm very curious about it (just like I'm very curious about "rum agricole" from French Caribbean islands). BTW I drink very little, as like my mom and unlike my dad I have little enzymes for alcohol digestion, but if I drink little it's one more reason to drink good.
No particular brand yet, don't drink enough of the stuff. But I do prefer single malt to blended.
As I live in scotland i've got an abundance of choice but i probably drink Laphroaig most regular.
Fine question, it really depends on the company, if I'm with great company and find the conversation thrilling or the orator enchanting maybe captivating I drink a drink that is a blend of fourty different brands of scotch each at least 12 years of age, Johnny Walker Black.
If the company is even better namely my own company then Johnny Walker Gold.
Needless to say I'm never in bad company.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.
The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:
If it were real, I would have to drink this.

I have only had Scotch maybe once or twice but I don't remember from what brand they were. I've always been more of a beer drinker. My three favorite beers are, Boulevard Wheat, Schlafly Coffee Stout and Magic Hat #9
I'll be going to my girlfriend's uncles house on Christmas Eve for dinner. He is a big Scotch drinker. I'll have to see what he has and give something a try.
