Nintendo doing very strong numbers in a market that is not quite as favorable to Nintendo products, compard to America. Wii has reigned supreme despite litterally everything thrown at it (console redesigns, endless bundles, price drops, motion controls by competitors, almost universal abandoning of third parties in favor of HD consoles). Great to see Epic Mickey gaining momentum, as I suspected it would. Tough to have Mickey game supported by Disney perform poorly, even a game with its share of flaws. Oh.. and GO DK!

i'm starting to think that the 360 is a lost cause in all of EMEAA except for the UK.

Imagine how us Sony fans feel with NA.

:(

I see this: 40 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) Rockstar Games 321 61,376 9,113,169

And I think what is happening with PS3 numbers in EMEAA is that VGC is getting PS2 sales in ME and Africa and they are being reported as PS3 sales.

Maybe a misunderstanding in those areas?

Why is it unbelievable? If there's no Wii/360 to buy (or they cost more than the GDP per capita) in most of that region, obviously the PS2 will sell more.

That's surprising; I mean, it was just as strong in Europe back in 2005/6, yet they completely devoured Playstation market share there so I assumed that there would be an external factor such as lack of distribution and/or ridiculously high costs affecting their sales there.

If you've lived here as long as I have, you wouldn't be. Trust me on that.

Wow, you'd think that the PS3 fans would stop crying "UNDERTRACKEDDDDAZZZZ!" every thread after last month's NPD, >.>.

Seriously, you guys are getting annoying now.

Yeah the whole craze in general is getting annoying, especially when you think about the big picture which is that it's putting down our sites numbers... there's little reasoning for any "undertracked!!!" claims other than hopeful thoughts that some console of choice is going to look better than it is right now.

Also I want to know how these people remember when something is adjusted... do people keep calendars on this?  It blows my mind.

First, he is wrong and since the NPD, PS3 fans has calmed down on the whole undertracked thing. The disscussion is about futur adjustmens which always happen anyway. We know how hard it is to track during the holidays.

It's not really restricted to one group it's a lot of individuals and it was never this bad in previous years.  It doesn't make much sense when in the past if there are adjustments after the holidays it's usually down, cause crazy sales usually end up with some data leading to higher estimates, so it doesn't make much sense for people to say "expect upward adjustments in a few weeks when NPD/shipment data comes out"

Well, I have lived in the MEAA region where it's always been Sony-domination for most of my life, :P. I recall that, in India, I didn't even know about that the PlayStation brand had competition (I thought that Pokemon Battle Revolution was a PS2 game, xD). There, I'm pretty sure that the Wii just wasn't pushed enough (360 had a massive campaign, though, yet I still didn't realize that it was a video game console) or it would've at least made a dent of some sort in the market.
