I just bought Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier on UMD, but before that I bought about 10 games (Cladun, Crimson Gem Saga, etc.) off of the PlayStation Store. Because when I want a game I can just login, buy, download and play.

My PS3 handles all the downloads that are above 500mb, because the PSP sucks at quick downloading.

Just looked at the psn update, Valkyria Chronicles 2 is on sale... BUY IT!

Games on umd.

Yeah, I'm thinking of grabbing it too.  But I kinda want it on UMD though.  But I'm not sure what's going on with the PSP 2, if it'll play PSP games, and if it does is it download games only? 

I mostly buy on PSN now. Used to buy everything on UMD and obviously a lot of games are only on UMD (like Crisis Core which is the reason I bought a PSP), but if PSN has a sale or a game for cheap, I'll download it. It's just more convenient and also drains the battery slower.

Just got Front Mission 3, yesterday.  Only cost me $6!  Fools!!  I'd have paid $10 for it!!

I mostly buy UMD.  I rarely buy off PSN because I don't feel like I own the game and I am at the mercy of Sony.

I do hope they release a version of the PSP2 that can play UMD games.  (crosses fingers)

mostly umds since I like to trade them back or sell later and I feel that the online thing is ragae. 39.99 for the same game to DL??? you might as well get the damn UMD. I will get if games are on sale (got Street Fighter Alpha 3 max for 10 dollars) been waiting for that one. one less UMD to carry

I really don't like UMDs, but I bought most of my games before SCE made their big push for DD on the PSP.

It's usually easier to find UMDs on sale for less than the cost of a PSN download, but the inconvenience of UMDs really doesn't even make it worthwhile. On the other hand, paying retail price for DD doesn't make a ton of sense either.

Personally, if I could convert all my UMDs to PSN purchases, I would. I'd even send them my UMDs.
