Forums - Gaming - My problems with Final Fantasy XIV

I still play the game despite its faults. I have no problems with it, but I don't continuously play the game or try to (I'm too busy with work and my family). The only problems I can agree with are the Market Wards. One point I want to make is that I wish there were Traits like the Job Traits from FFXI.

If they patch it correctly then definitely. In its current state I would say no. They did decide to delay the PS3 version because they didn't want to release it in its current piss poor state for PS3 owners which is a VERY good idea.

I would say keep an eye on the Lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com site for patch info up until the PS3 version comes.

at least this hasnt made me as mad as FFXIII did.   Also i find absurd that they limit questing specially when you note that 16 quest can really be done in 4 hours and they wont let you do more in 2 and half days. that is crazy

Holy Hell... I'm glad I didn't buy this crap

Seriously why didn' they use some things from FFXI??

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

You know.... There is always Cataclysm..... Some dumbass hacked my WoW account that I haven't touched in 2 years and basically gave me a free month (gave all the Obsidian Ores the farmer mined to my friend and got all my items back after and got my iPhone Authendicator on it, was like bam bitch!) so I got Cataclysm and I have to say that it's a completely different game now and it's a very matured game vs other MMORPGs in general. Being able to instantly fly for not much gold in Azeroth is very much a win. Dual spec is also only 10 gold now LOL. Not to mention I can jump? Terrain freedom is win vs FF11 or 14 for sure.

I actually tried to get back into WoW last month and just couldn't do it.  I had played a few times previously and got into my 40's and then stopped.  A few months later I tried again but my account had apparently been hacked at some point and it got perma banned.  Oh well.

Anyways, I tried to start again and it's just a hard game to start if you're not playing a new race and you're starting from scratch.  I didn't really have the energy to devote reading endless amounts of information on the best level and money making strategies so I just quit after about a week.

Now there's DCUO, I'm definately going to play that.  I've been playing the beta and I've been loving it to death.

I'm personally really looking forward to the western release of Tera Online since Vindictus has convinced me that Action MMORPGs is the wave of the future. I think DCUO is the same way right?

With Cataclysm, questing has become incredibly streamlined. Both leveling and travelling have become  much easier and quicker processes. More, the environments are largely new and are entirely accessible.

It might have been wise to try with the release of the new expansion. Now, it may still be the wrong recipe for what you're looking for in a MMO, but I have to give Blizzard credit in making WoW that much more accessible. I have a feeling it'll retain much more of its previous users than either previous expansion.

I've a feeling DCUO may aid in kicking my repeatedly returning WoW crave.
