I've completed BG&E on the Gamecube. It's one of my favorite games ever. It is a bit Zelda-esque in gameplay, but then with a great story. It also has amazing characters and most importantly very good humour. It's not extremely long (for last gen games then, for this gen it's probably around average...) say ~10 hours for the main game.
Believe me, 800 pts is a great deal for this game.
