Santa has come to town a few days early, Rudolph and the gang have brought the new patch for GT5 along with them and it's a huge present boys and girls - 608 MB to be exact. No one knows what PD has in store for us, but rumor has it that you will be able to copy your game save. Stay tuned!

It doesn't work like that. People who just bought GT 5, will end up downloading only 608 MB.

This is making me appreciate Media Molecule deciding to delay LBP2 to avoid post release patching.  I hate that LBP2 missed the holiday sales spike as a result, but damn, between this plus some other titles recently it's patch city.

Still love the title, and I guess it was likely this would happen... but I'd rather be driving than downloading patches.

What about people who bought the game the day it released? Does it still not work that way? I can assure you that I have downloaded every single patch.

You can download the same update as many times as you want. Just delete the game data for the game and start the game, bingo! another update!

That doesn't mean the total size of the update that PD has done to the game is 1 GB. It means you have downloaded 1 GB, which is unrelated to the game's update size.
