if i buy the game would it be like Counter Strike and have still an great community ?

It's the most fun FPS I have ever played.

I greatly reccommend it.

However, it's not the typical CoD style FPS, It's very different, so be prepared for that.

There are plenty of servers up. The only thing you need to worry about is getting the right patch. Since EA's support for their games is shit, you'll probably need to download the patch from a 3rd party site if you have an old version.

yea i know it would be different , because i found it for 10 dollars at retail thats pretty cheap

One of the later patches (1.50 or somewhere around there) is huge.

I've had a lot of fun with the game, but it has its quirks with stuff like hit detection/boxes, aiming (stuttering issues when you want to zoom in or iron sights not totally right like the M16), ect.

With the later patches, I seemed to see the gameplay devolve into straight up grenade dodgeball, especially when playing in an infantry only game. That is a shame because I like the concept of infantry only, but dear lord.

Even though the Bad Company series is decent, I'd rather have a true Battlefield 2 sequel that improves the formula.
