Does Silent Hill: Homecoming really look like that on consoles? I ask because I've only played the PC version. So... is that comparison real? Could it be from some kind of beta?

Silent Hill 3 is the best looking one from the PS2 era, but Homeocoming does top it. Silent Hill 8 is getting a graphics overhaul, so expect a much bigger upgrade.

I wonder what Silent Hill "8" will be like... I think they said it'd be simillar to the older games and not like Homecoming. I used to like Silent Hill games a lot, I hope they don't do something to SH like what Capcom did to RE with RE5 xD.

Do you know if it'll be released on PC?

It's slated for PS3 & 360 only, afaik, and it'll release next year. They're trying to recapture the magic of Silent Hill 2 with this one, which from the current footage, the game already looks to impress true SH veterans.

Oh... I see... then I hope they do a good job with the PS3 version and I'll buy it. I haven't played a good horror game in years. I hope I can get scared with this one ^_^

Geez, I thought Homecoming looked better that. That's pretty awful. (SH5 is Homecoming, right?)

Yes, that is pretty much real. The final game looks a bit better but that pic is close to what you'll see in the game. I have played the game and didn't finish it. Graphics-wise Homecoming had the worst graphics of all main Silent Hill Games, but it's not horrible, it just pales in comparison to other Silent Hill Games.
