| Darth Tigris said: You know, its sad that even this thread has turned into a 360 vs PS3 opportunity for some of you. *sigh* The world's a better place now that more gamers are exposed this amazing series (minus the first game). Why can't we just leave it at that ...? |
We can leave it at that...but I was thinking that some of us were just stating how much we enjoy Mass Effect 1 and we think everyone should try it to experience the same enjoyement. Personaly if all exclusive will became multiplaform i'll be happy with that.
I'm sure All PS3 owner will enjoy Mass Effect 2 and 3 without playing the first one anyway.
Now, I want Mod nation racing and Little big planet on my 360...I know...It won't Happen.
On a final note, I'm sure you will enjoy it even more because when I start playing all the DLC I already had finish the game. Now you guys gone get it at the beginning so you will problably enjoy your experience it in a differrent way.I would have play the shadow broker and some other DLC a little earlier in my campaign.

If that's the case, you're definitely NOT among those I was referring to.
Oh, I'm a 360 owner that has loved this series like a woman and it IS unfortunate that PS3 owners won't have the complete experience but this is better than nothing. I haven't played the post game DLC yet but was waiting to see what more was coming so I could hopefully get a good 8 hours out of them. The in-game DLC was great (Kasumi is quite the squadmate too), particularly Overlord. I've recommended it to all of my ME2 playing friends.
The closest to a reasonable PS3 equivalent being available on the 360 would be MGS4, as it is a 3rd party game. But we know that won't happen and, to be honest, PS3 gamers are getting the better side of it anyway as they are getting what, imho, is THE defining series of this generation. I sincerely hope as many as possible buy and THOROUGHLY enjoy.

IIRC Mod Nation was largely funded by Sony and Little Big P comes from Media Molecule, 1st Party Studio. So you're right this won't happen but Sony's faced the same with 3rd Party developers making Playstation affiliated titles becaming multiplats and it will continue, the next "victim" on the list probably being FF Versus XIII.

Thanks for the explanation, I already knew those titles were funded by Sony and release as first party exclusive...I was not trying to find a game close to Mass Effect situtation. I was Just stating my desire to play games not available on the platforms I currently owne. I would also like to play Heavy Rain and Maybe Killzone 3. Maybe it's time to buy a PS3..lol.
I think less exclusive is good for gamers and third party plublisher. Maybe not for console makers ...Theywon't dissappear anyway since console makers want us to buy their console.
Sorry i'm not in line with the subject of this thread anymore.
Enjoy MASS EFFECT 3 on Your PS3 !!! (now i'm back on track)
