Yes I'm mad.  Poor reviews are killing some fine games out there.  Tron Evolution is a great exemple.  I know the numbers are not out yet, but it will do very, very badly.  The reviews are NOT doing justice to it.  Come on, have a little respect for fans out there.  I have said it before and will continue to say it again, reviews should be taken for what they are, subjective opinions.  Why is This Guy or That Other Guy better than me in knowing what a good game is?  Because he works for IGN or Gamespot? 

I admit, I am a Tron fan.  This game does it proud.  I am playing the hell out of it and will play it again.  And, I would like a few good DLC's in the coming months.  Will I get them...hell no!  The developpers will see how poorly it sold and they will pull the plug. 

Too bad  you say?  This game is crap?  Did you at least play it?  Everything is in working order.  And with the broken releases that have come out lately, that is an accomplishment in itself.  I have been had with F1 2010 and Fallout New Vegas.  Both are good games, but they came out BROKEN.  And they sell hundreds of thousand of units.  The reviews, in the 80's!  And Tron, below 60 in Metacritic.  Simply amazing.

I must say that the game deserves a lot more credit than it's getting at the moment. The music is absolutely great, the battles are intense and I love the atmosphere. The light cycle scenes are just horrible though!

I didn't try the online multiplayer, but offline it allows you to gain levels so you can upgrade Anon in the campaign. That's pretty cool IMO.

I noticed that Propaganda Games made it. They also made one of the most underrated games of this gen: Turok. I think the main problem here is that people just don't buy the fact that they're trying to sell a game based on a movie (which is not totally true, but you get what I mean) for $60 though.

yeah, this has happened to many other games (medal of honor as an example, i enjoyed moh alot more than many other gamew)  its like people listen to other people before they buy a game without trying it]

How do they pick the reviewers for a game?  I mean, how can somebody be truly objective concerning a game?  Take me for exemple, I would be the worst reviewer in the world.  I love Tron and would give it an 8 out of 10 easy.  I'd give that score because Tron reminds me of my cherished childhood and this movie has some good memories attached to it.  Plus, I have been playing a lot of AC Brotherhood.  Since Tron as some similar gameplay elements, I am inclined to give it a good score.  I own every cd's of Daft Punk.  Their music is of course in the game, so I am happier because of it, therefore giving it a higher score than somebody without all of the above would give.

Now, give me Call of Duty Black Ops to review.  I hate FPS, so...  I am not a big fan of multiplayer, so...  I hate super short single player campaing, so...  What score would I give it if I was the reviewer? 

I know reviewers have their "niche" style of games, but come on!  Since Tron is NOT broken, offers a long enough and fun single player and has a rewarding multiplayer, with good graphics and super music,  if I'm objective, I would give it AT THE VERY LEAST an 8 out of 10.

Anyway, that's it with game reviews for me.

I played the game and the controls are horrible.  I missed one jump in the tutorial and spent the next 15 minutes trying to get out of the stupid place I got too...

The concept of the game is decent but to me it deserves whatever crap ratings it gets because the quality in the game just isn't there.  It should have been in development another year to polish it properly and improve the graphics.

How much are you expecting in terms of sales ?

I am going to fall on my a** if it's in the top 50 in it's first week of sales.
Let's just say that I don't think it will reach the half-million point lifetime, both consoles combined.

My honest thoughts about all this? Some reviewers simply have no soul.

I completely agree with you on this, I find many times that a game rated as crap by IGN or Gamespot ends up entertaining me and being fun, I am a Tron fan an have booked my tickets for the upcoming Film release and I am finding the game entertaining and fun and captured the universe well, I hope the rubbish reviews dont kill sales and hope to meet fellow Tron Fans online in grid matches, we should all accept that reviews are just opinions and just check it out for yourselve and make up your own mind. The Shit reviewers get sponsored and buttered up to give crap reviews or good ones and no two people are alike so what suits you might not suit me. :)
