This has been brought up on other forums, so I might as well bring the discussion here. Sony need to buy That Game Company. Journey is the last game in their three game contract and then TGC have the freedom to move on or renew the contract. The problems I have with TGC moving on is that they're a very small development team (10 people), but the main reason they can pull off projects like Flower and Journey is because they have Sony's funding and the backup from other teams like Sony Santa Monica, if they go multi-platform, there is not guarantee that another publisher will give them the funding, the freedom and the talent that they require to create the masterpieces that they (and we) want.
The best they could do if they break off would be making I-phone games or multi-platform PSN/Live games (unless Microsoft or Nintendo buy them), which is great, but they deserve so much more and if they stayed with a company like Sony and their games keep being the successes they are, I can see them moving onto bigger projects in the future. Maybe in 5 years we could be foaming at the mouth for the next huge That Game Company E3 reveal, instead of the next ICO team reveal.
They can't be that expensive can they? 10 guys with three PSN games can't be more expensive than 20 with one successful full retail new IP (Media Molecule).
