There's a test? I think I would probably end up with a similar fan% to this sites demographics:- 70% Ninty, 20% PS and 10% XB. Although your percentages dont add to 100 Rol? so I guess it must work differently. [I might be 75/10/2 then] @ckmlb 360/ps3 were neck and neck for the whole of 2007 [before Halo] why people would assume different for Christmas i don't know. A long time ago i pegged Wii/ps3/360 at 18m/8m/15m for the end of 07... it looks like i will be 500-1000k under-predicted for all three.

well done to PS3 and even though I own Wii360, PS3 is gonna own next year out of these 2. My 360 has been turned on about 20% of the Wii as it only ships FPS / Third PS really (with exception of Forza2 - which was fantastic) and it'll burn itself out I reckon.

Dont get me wrong shooters will always sell big but the PS3 will start to bring to the table what the Wii already has - diversity, with games like MGS4, GT5, FFXIII leaving mainly only the cliche shooters to go multi platform. A console nees more than one genre to survive, people say the Wii is bad for gaming well I reckon the 360 is personally.

If PS3 continues to sell at 400k/week it will reach 8.8M by the end of the year. This is amazing, was expecting a max of 8.5M.

At the same pace (400k/week) the 360 will be at 16.1M by end of 2007 and this means the 360 will grow it's lead to the PS3 by another 600k units. This is not very good IMO, especially with Halo being released and the high price of the PS3 for 10 months out of the year.

PS: End of 2006 numbers: 360 - 7.9M, PS3 - 1.2M, gap 6.7M

 You should get a PS3 and go PSWii360... R&C and Uncharted are totally worth it. Just finished Uncharted in Crushing mode and finally got all the 1000 medal points, kick ass unlockables :) I love to play as Elena. Also both Carton Drake and Doughnut Drake are funny like hell ;)

planning to get one next year but Wii, 360, new HD TV and the wife got a puppy is all we can afford going into Xmas so i'll have to wait until Feb / March next year

Well, people said the 360 would sell more than ps3 this christmas, but now it has jus as much sales as 360.

Sony have shot themselves in the fot with PS3. Alot of people are obviously buying PS3 as a cheap Blu Ray Player just for films. Game software sales are bad on PS3

I think it's safe to say that everyone has underestimated the PS3 this year, including me... I can't wait for next year, things are looking up a bit.
