Wow.  You really don't want to get on the wrong side of the US government.

Shame on those government officials who are being so afraid of the people knowing all about it's dirty, subversive wars across the globe and trying to take the people's right to know away.

Long live, Wikileaks!

Do you even read what you write before you post it? He was giving away US secrets!! Do you seriously think that's okay? Would you be happy if all of your country's secrets got out? How anyone can defend him is beyond me. I hope he gets killed, or at least put in a dark room for 40 years.

Yes, I would love it if the UK's dirty secrets came out in the open so that we, the people, would understand the propaganda and lies of empire-building (clothed in whatever hypocrisy it might be) elitists.

There are serious issues in the world that are being ignored or given only lip service because of the nation-state system.

So, you may well think (I obviously don't know what you actually think) along the lines of the 'US is great and should be defending its interests' alongside all the other self-interested nation-states and their elite governments, but that is short-sighted and selfish. Meanwhile, the majority of the scientific community think that humans are causing global warming and the corporate world goes merrily along with backing of nationalistic governments like China and America (and many others) setting (and sometimes refusing to set) pitiful targets.  I think of my kids and think we could be doing so much more.

If countries actually worked together for the interests of its people rather than the interests of the elites (that falsely believe they are helping the people with their ideology) then many of the threats the world faces would disappear.

This is why we need open government. We need to hold them to account rather than having the wool pulled over our eyes...

Also, seriously... how do you prove that a conspiracy DOESN'T exist?

Thankfully it isn't your place to prove a negative.

All I will add to this is, if he committed a sexual crime, then he should of course go to gaol for it. If not, then of course he shouldn't. Pretty simple.

Anyone saying the charges are some kind of government conspiracy should prove it. The burden of proof is on them, just like the burden of proof is on the prosecutor (or however the legal system works in Sweden) to prove that he is a rapist.

Visa and Mastercard blocked Wikileaks from their list of approved donation targets, things like KKK can still be donated to... Go figure, its a crazy world.

Exactly.  I'm not even saying he definitly did it, but to just blantatly assume it's a setup when it would be a setup that benefits basically noone.  I don't understand it.

Not to mention, all of the "negatives" people posted about the woman's conduct after the rape are actually fairly common as every rape victim goes through 3 stages.  Shock, Denial and Acceptance.  Often with  a good amount of self blaming and being nicer to their rapist if they know who they are because i general socialization often makes rape victims feel like it was there fault.

If there are 3 things that annoy me... it's people taking rape to lightly, religious people checking on my religious status everytime I talk to them and conspiracy theories that don't have a viable endgame and are overly elaborate.

So much for those fantasies about Swedish ladies. All gone now.

and it's like... we've been over this... EVERY TIME... and no I don't want to go to your single's bible reading even if couples are aloud too.

Well I am catholic and that does seem like more of an evangelical christian.

Though I know a few people who are evangelical and they are not like that at all.

Guess you are unlucky.

Well considering Wikileaks is giving away valuable US secrets, and the KKK are just a bunch of moron redneck hicks that haven't been a real factor since their heyday in the 1920's...I'd say that's just fine with me.
