Plenty of games listed in here that we already know about that would make next year a great time to be a 360 owner, and I am sure there are more we have not even heard about yet.

Personally, I'd love to hear about Lost Oddyssey 2, Alan Wake 2, Rage and a Diablo 3 port.  I'm dreaming on some of these, I know, but if I'm gonna hope, I'm gonna hope big!

We will see what the lineup is but I imagine that IGN was mostly referring to a few exclusives and a majority of 3rd party games.

1.) A new Halo game in 2011?  Definitely, MS already said they want it to be a yearly endeavor like COD.

 

2.) Gears of war 3?  Already announced and a definite release.

 

3.)A big IP from Rare?  Either a new Perfect Dark or Killer Instinct for sure. 

 

4.)Don't forget Ms. Explosion Man!  

 

5.)I'm also expecting another really big XBL release; It's about time for Shadow Complex 2. 

 

6.)Left For Dead 3 should come out in 2011.  

 

7.)Project Kingdoms should prove to be something fun. 

 

  • I think it's too early for another Forza title to be released in 2011.  
  • Alan Wake 2?  No way, considering the last game took something like 5 years to produce.

Well, right now, they aren't many core exclusives known to release, outside of Gears 3 and maybe Kingdoms. So people aren't too far fetched with those statements, at the moment. They can only go off what's announced, not what could be. Where were you when people said the PS3 had no games? Hopefully defending it saying it would.

OT: I was never someone too concerned with what the 360 had lined up for 2011. Gears 3 will do just fine, everything else would be the icing on the cake. I do hope we get something from Rare, I'll probably pick up Kingdoms, many of my multiplats will be 360 pick ups, and maybe they'll announce a new PGR @ the VGAs.

To be honest, even when the PS3 had no games we knew of the games coming, so it didn't need defending in that regard.  But with the 360 we've seen this pattern for a number of years, a quiet year that gets louder and louder and in the end looks great in retrospect.  Yet and still we still have those posters doing the same smear campaign year in and year out.  So no, I can't justify it or condone it.  

OT:  I personally hope for some new IP's.  This is going to be a long gen and sequelitis will ruin it in the end if left unchecked.

Yeah, who would have thought in Jan this year would have turned out better SW wise for the 360 ... same will happen next year IMO despite the flood of PS3 games (of which most will be delayed or turn out not as great as hyped to be)
