To be honest, even when the PS3 had no games we knew of the games coming, so it didn't need defending in that regard. But with the 360 we've seen this pattern for a number of years, a quiet year that gets louder and louder and in the end looks great in retrospect. Yet and still we still have those posters doing the same smear campaign year in and year out. So no, I can't justify it or condone it.
OT: I personally hope for some new IP's. This is going to be a long gen and sequelitis will ruin it in the end if left unchecked.
