Forums - Gaming - Pachter: Epic Mickey will "ultimately come to PS3"

...to make this game a Wii exclusive, because it really isn't it worth it so far.

But we just have sales of  1 week in EMEAA, so far.

Just Dance says hello...

I'm sick of people downplaying the game and saying that it should go multiplat at the same time.

It's a great game, easily above 8.5, and a multiplat is not THAT likely!

I LOVE ICELAND!

Also in case anyone is wondering the above process shouldn't take long, your looking at 8-12 weeks development to do the above just like SONY's classics HD (god of war collection and Sly collection).

You have the development time wrong, the original god of war and Sly games were developed for the PS2 and they know the architecture very well. If you want to change the plataform you need to make a bigger investment, because the technologies are very diferent, I would say around 6-8 MONTHS to pull that trick with decent results.

I think this would be a perfect fit for the PS3 and Move.  Especially since they could revaamp the graphics and overall look of the game to look more like the early concept art for the game.  Hope this happens.

But the Move controls for drawing (pointer) are slow and unprecise. I think it will be always difficult to bring Wii games to the PS3 that use pointer controls and the games will make the Move users not happy.

The Move "controls for drawing" are none of those.  Start the Party and Beat Sketcher prove this.

its plausible

Ah, another Wii game that's downplayed and on the undeserved platform at the same time.

Pachter isn't unbiased of course (no one really is, not even The Source despite his "don't mind the shirt" sig), but I think Mr. P. shouldn't show his bias that obviously.

Even 4 years after launch the Wii still seems to be an insult to some people, even to those who don't play games but just try to analyze the business.

Who cares? The game is mediocre at best according to critical reviews.

I love all this talk about sales when we have one figure for first week in EMAA, we all know how telling THAT can be... and as for patcher, hes an overpaid monkey who scribbles on charts with crayons and somehow people pay him for his gibberish.

Is there a speck of truth or is this his way of trying to make it happen

Well, it might, particularly if sales aren't amazing on Wii and they decide to try and extend sales over two consoles.

Also, nice to see Patcher clearly doesn't know his arse from his elbow when it comes to porting/coding of games.

Unless the title used really low res sources (which would seem unlikely) then just as it isn't that hard to take a PS2 game and produce a nice HD version it really shouldn't be that hard to take a Wii game (which I believe has more power than the PS2) and produce a nice HD version.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
