Forums - Gaming - PS3 games "infinitely more fun" than Wii

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=177589

Sony chairman Sir Howard Stringer is, no doubt, more than relieved that PS3's fortunes appear to be turning around - PS3 outsold Wii in Japan over the month of November, the first time Sony's hardware has overturned Nintendo's position, and Stringer is "much more confident" about PS3's future.

Meanwhile, Stringer is bullish in the face of Nintendo's wider appeal, stressing that "PlayStation 3 will come into its own because its [high-end games] are infinitely more fun, demanding and exciting" in comparison to Wii's offerings.

Nintendo's struggle to supply enough consoles to meet the demand is also keeping Stringer warm at night.

In Tokyo yesterday, as reported in UK newspaper The Guardian, he informed attendees at a Sony press conference that he is "happy the Wii seems to be running a bit short of hardware". We don't doubt it.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

he is deluding himself when he says he is happy that the wii is selling out.

And i never thought they could get worse... Strange..

It's PR. That's the sort of thing they have to say. Moving on is the best, and really the only, option.

Wow, that guy sounds like a massive dick. I bet he spits on old people on his way to the bar where he drinks the blood of innocent children from the skulls of homeless people.

well its not like he is gonna say that wiis games are funner, but i dont really think infinitely more fun was neccesary

Wow, so the Sony chairman thinks PS3 games are infinitely more fun? Did we really need an article to tell us that?

People keep using the PR excuse but seriously this does not help. People are turned off by arrogance. I know I'll take flak for this but his like the Bush of the gaming industry just make shit up to push his agenda. Couldn't they just be happy with selling so well and reported numbers etc.
