congrats ds, unbelieveable sales

never thought it would pass the ps2

will be interesting to see how it does after the 3DS (and how well the 3DS does in comparison)

Well, all that is beside the point, as I was merely remarking upon some people's dismay over PS2/DS comparisons. Yes, DS has had revisions. So has PS2, and DS has passed it or will do so very soon in almost half the time. All the while being quite expensive, too.

The PS2 revisions were simply a change of form. The DS versions added new features. Stuff like a bigger screen or a camera can warrant another buy.

Anyways, I'm glad the DS sold but I think it's time for the 3DS now.

GBA did roughly 20M afer DS was released, DS could very wel ldo 30M after 3DS launches, oh and hi Dr Zoidberg.

Me neither, it's going to be one of the first game I buy when I get my 3DS and Ocarina of time.  Imagine a Donkey kong country for 3DS? :P

I remember at E3 04, just prior to the DS's release, Iwata-san spoke of Nintendo's proudest market achievments including the introduction of the D-pad, analogue stick, etc.  Then he exclaimed, holding up the DS, "But I think we're most proud of this!".  Now with 140m sold and bragging rights as the best selling game system ever, everyone can see why.
