So yes, PS3 did come in 3rd place, but mainly due to little impact in the region where it was dead last for the week (a region not GT heavy). And when you quoted dunno, all numbers hadn't even gotten in yet.

Yes my words to dunno where "amazing isnt it?" Because I thought GT will sell better than DK... and I belive most people here thought the same. I never saw a single comment on DK selling more than GT on it's release (NA).
I don't really know, and neither i care, about how GT5 boost the ps3 in one region or another, so I can't really factor that in, and neither can you, b/c no one knows. What matters at the end are raw numbers... Ps3 being on 3rd when most people expected the ps3 to be at least in 2nd (you know why? Because they expected a bigger impact thanks to GT5) and some of them even expected to be at first place.
I'm sorry but if these numbers are final, both GT5 and Ps3 performed a little lower than people expected... you included. Ps3 came in 3rd when GT5 released WW..... there's no other way to say it.
And eventhough all the numbers weren't up, we already had MC numbers to give us an idea

Oh well, I've made my point. I agree with your bottom line (which you've chosen to ignore for some odd reason), but disagree with some of what lead you to it. Nothing more I can say at this point.

The only people that are spinning lately are people who expected more from GT5.... Rerefing to my first post, I just said that Ps3 was on 3rd place WW, plain and simple. There's no more to it.
There's no need to say Ps3 came in 3rd due to the impact that GT5 didn't perform better in the US... well wtf? that would be the case for everything... X360 is lower due to the little impact it has on japanese sales... Psp came last due to the little impact their games have on the west..... is a never ending story.
Some wii games have low sales due to the little impact it had either on Americas/Europe/Japan.... and that's the case for every single console. That's not an excuse.
