Nintendo fans say it to mock all the other folks who say it.  And you don't have to say "Wii is doomed" verbatim to say that the Wii is doomed.  Hell, look at leo j's thread about Wii coming in third this holiday.  If that's not doom and gloom, I don't know what is.

You missed my point. For me, I meant they screwed up exclusively in NA. Seriously, the difference there is huge. I don't think it's dead in the region, but it is lacking compared to its competitors.

If you think about it 360 have head start,slim,cheaper $199 model,halo reach,$500m kinect marketing,timed exclusive JRPG deals yet PS3 overcome all those and is still selling more and has overtaken 360 in EMEAA and Japan but still I wouldn't consider 360 "dead' or "fuked' or "screwed" at all in those countries exclusively or WW.....Im sure any reasonable person wouldn't either.

In NA though, it's not PS3's biggest game. Had it gone up against something like God of War or MGS, I could see that. But in NA, GT isn't that big, especially on first weeks. I do admit that GT5 is lower than I thought, but as they say, it's a leg franchise. In the end, GT5 should have the higher sales throughout.

Btw, does anyone know what GT4 did on it's first week?

But..................it's not 3rd in every region WW, in fact 2nd in most. So again, the US (the place where Sony took the biggest lost) is the cause (you know, the place where GT5's opening week had the lowest impact).

If DKC:R beats GT5 WW, then your point would fit.

The reason I said anything about DKC:R is because of your words to dunno. GT5 lost to it in a region that it was never projected to dominate.That's really not all that shocking.

Also, it's not like GT5's boost was felt the same WW, which is what you aren't factoring in. Releasing on Black Friday week put it in direct competition (in the States specifically) with the Wii & 360 (a place where almost everyone accepted that GT5 would have the least impact). Nobody knew just how strong the 360 would be in the States this week. I really did think PS3 had a shot @ at least 2nd place this week, but underestimated the 360.

So yes, PS3 did come in 3rd place, but mainly due to little impact in the region where it was dead last for the week (a region not GT heavy). And when you quoted dunno, all numbers hadn't even gotten in yet.

Wtf? I just said that DK did amazing in the US.

The 3rd place part is only about hardware. And it doesn't matter how you brake it down, ps3 is 3rd WW, and at the end, it is the only thing that matters... WorldWide sales.

So my point still stands... Ps3 is 3rd place WW when its biggest game launched. Simple as that... I don't really see how my point doesn't fit.
