Make up on a failed actor and numerous nose jobs on an actress who has only made one good movie in her career are just a few things that will keep these two in the realm of acting irrelevancy.

Jesus Christ, Natalie looks like a starved Romanian miner boy. It must hurt her so much, when Keira Knightley is shown as the star and the beauty of the UK, while Natalie is thrown to the side to play ex-girlfriends in rom coms. It's also been pretty much decided that Emma Watson is going to take Kieras place, the pain Portman feels must be immense.

WTF are you talking about?

In that case, almost anything written before the 20th century must be crap in your eyes. I'd hate to hear what you have to say about Dickens. Obviously JK Rowling must be better than that hack.

People have different tastes. I do agree with you, but you have to bear in mind that you read books in different paces. Somebody might be bored if the story starts slow and leavea a bad first impression.

I having trouble reading Joyce's Ulysses, a reason might be that I'm as a non native speaker have problems with old english. On the other hand I may have spent just a couple of days with the Millenium trilogy. Even though I enjoyed the latter, I don't dare to say it's better than Joyce's masterpiece.

That's pretty much my point. There are plenty of trashy or mediocre novels/games/movies that I've enjoyed immensely but one has to keep perspective and admit that you enjoyed those for personal reasons, not because they're actually better than some of the greatest classics ever written/filmed.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Star Wars easily wins this (I'm kinda shocked that the voting is so close right now!)

I watched the 1st Harry Potter movie and found it long and boring. Then when the second one came along someone told "It's much better than the first one" so I watched it.... and it was long and boring. Then for the third one, someone told me, "It's a different director, it's darker and more interesting" so I watched it..... aaaaand it was long and boring.

That's when I decided that no matter what anyone told me I wouldn't watch another Harry Potter movie ever.

I'm joking.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Star Wars for me, but very likely because I watched them as a kid, and I only read one HP book at around 19, and watched some of the films even later. I quite like HP, both books and films, but they are far from impressive. Especially the books... wish we could have Rowling's settings with Phillip Pullman's writing or something like that.

Mind you, I've tried rewatching Star Wars, and I couldn't enjoy it. Same with the HP films. They are just quick adventure/fantasy stories to me, my mum's got a category for the sort of entertainment, chewing gum for the soul.

If grossly obese slug aliens are your thing, then I guess that's perfectly fine.

Do you know that two centuries ago we would have fought to death with our swords for this offense?

I was obviously talking about the woman, like I mentionned Pricess Leia.
