I find it hard how GT5 is going to sell nearly 6 fold in EMEAA in the end like people predict ...

Well, sorry to bring up GT5P again, but that game sold 400k in its first week in EMEAA,and now sits 2210k,maybe around 2600k if we count digital sales.

So yeah,GT5 has a chance of selling 6M there.

I expected PS3 to be bigger this week.

Anyway, EMEAA opening for GT5 100k bigger than GT4 and almost 3 times as big as GT5P.

Maybe the lower numbers in Japan are on account of people relocating to EMEAA territories then.

Looks like a million plus week for both Nintendo consoles then, good times.

Good numbers for the others as well. Even the PSP.

Gran Turismo 4 did.

I don't care what GT4 did, stop holding onto to GT4 sales for dear life when predicting the future, suuuuch a narrow way of looking at it.

According to GT4, GT5 will sell 1 million week 2, a bet I shall win next week when it doesn't.

GT5 caused a near 100,000 spike in the region. So far, that's 94,000(plus)40,000 (EMEAA & Japan). So, it's caused a 134,000 WW spike without US numbers (which will be inflated due to Black friday).

It will just keep on selling and selling here, making this bump look even more impressive.

you are forgetting the seasonal boost

the boost in EMEAA is about 45k.  tops.

i dont think the seasonal boost for this week was 45k for the last two weeks ps3 has been pretty flat in emeaa small boosts, seasonal boost could have been 20k-30k for this week.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

No way to know it positively. Bottomline, it moved hardware, which it was supposed to. And considering GT is not a first week type of franchise, it'll keep moving some hardware.

Doesn't every game move HW according to you? That's what you're always banging on about ..

Week over week and Year over year

Console This week Last week Last year
Wii    399,216.00    304,489.00    474,178.00
PS3    322,648.00    228,623.00    248,731.00
X360    235,614.00    205,712.00    182,888.00

Again you can see that GT5 didnt boost much. Just because of holiday sales are increasing or did GT5 also help boost 360 sales by 30K?

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Why don't you think it will? GT4 did it without the benefit of a holiday, so- as far as the evidence we have goes- GT5 should be in a better position to do it.
