GT5 caused a near 100,000 spike in the region. So far, that's 94,000(plus)40,000 (EMEAA & Japan). So, it's caused a 134,000 WW spike without US numbers (which will be inflated due to Black friday).

It will just keep on selling and selling here, making this bump look even more impressive.

you are forgetting the seasonal boost

the boost in EMEAA is about 45k.  tops.

No way to know it positively. Bottomline, it moved hardware, which it was supposed to. And considering GT is not a first week type of franchise, it'll keep moving some hardware.

Admit it CGI-Quality...you are very dissapointed with the hardware boost the PS3 got.Weren't you going to use your little bookmarks this week to proove those fanboys wrong?Looks like you fell into the hype.No offence.

What is there to be disappointed about? If I said I expected a 200,000 boost from EMEAA, I could understand. But PS3 moved nearly 100,000 more in this region than last week (in line with my prediction of 120,000). I don't see much to be disappointed about.

And btw, after you see the bookmarks, you'll retract your statements here.

That may have been your prediction, but you wanted to be wrong.

I find it hard how GT5 is going to sell nearly 6 fold in EMEAA in the end like people predict ...

The legs will have to be strong (which considering the region, they should be). 6 mill, who knows, but it's not impossible.

Not impossible no... But it wont.

Because of what, exactly?

common sense.

It opened higher than GT4, and GT4 went to six million. So whats common sense about it?

Also prologue alone went from a 400,000 opening to 3 million sales in emeaa

Time for hype

GT 5 numbers are extremely good because it wasn't out a full week ( just 3 or 4 days ) and there was zero advertising ( I don't know about the US, but I think it's just starting now in Europe ).

I wouldn't be surprise if it does 600k or so week 2 ( in EMEAA ). I think the game will have really good legs this month.

Hmm, looks like GT bombed (relative to some users expectations anyway)

The expectation were 1,4M in Europe to do 2,4M WW, not that far away i think

Well, sorry to bring up GT5P again, but that game sold 400k in its first week in EMEAA,and now sits 2210k,maybe around 2600k if we count digital sales.

So yeah,GT5 has a chance of selling 6M there.

If u go on the Polyphony site GT5P sits at 3.020 million in EMEAA.

I see. Thanks for letting me know :).That only prooves my point further

No problem, also that is since Sept. 2010 so you never know maybe some more people decided to buy it just to get ready for GT5 =) lol

I looove those AC:B sales! Great second week!

It's great to see Goldeneye has legs, as for Mickey i will bet that it wll rise closer we get to Christmas

Doesn't every game move HW according to you? That's what you're always banging on about ..

Yeah, because I said every game moved hardware. >_>

Gett off it man, seriously.

Yeah, you more or less have said that every game moves HW in the past. Whether it 1 console or 100,000.

You sound quite touchy in regards to GT5? Why?

Maybe because you and Kowen are attacking every one of his posts like children?  Why can't we just be civil and wait for a few weeks to come to a more logical conclusion?  No, too easy.  Why do that when we can just make impulsive statements using the past, when it is clear that this gen has defied many past trends.

No, too easy.

I wanted to split theses GT5 numbers because...

UK: 265k
Spain: 92k
Italy: 100k

717k to VGC numbers.

All the others EMEAA countries sold 717k together?

Sounds a undetracked in EMEAA like always happen in VGC...so waiting future adjustments.

seems about right.

He left out Finland, about 25k-30k (20k plus day 1). And not really if you look at it from a historical standpoint. Between those 4 it's probably around 500k or just below (UK and Italy are slight estimates. Italy is 'over 100k' and UK is between 265k and 275k). And since Germany and France have a much larger GT fanbase than the UK it's probably safe to assume it sold at least as much as the UK in those 2 countries.

UK, Finland, Spain, Italy: ~490k

France: >265k

Germany: >265k

So Australia, the rest of Europe, and MEAA only sold about 150k at minimum? First week in India was likely over 20k (It had a bigger opening than GOW3 which sold 15k week 1).
