I dont think it can be even called Uncharted because its sounding so far away from it, the only thing connected seems to be the character name "Nathen Drake" and the movie Title. It seems the lovable character is gone, and so too its epic story that is so easy to convert into an movie. 

But talking with the Director it this is what the movie is going to be 

The big screen version of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is starting to sound less like Raiders of the Lost Ark and more likeNational Treasure. Director David O. Russell says his upcoming game-to-film adaptation will focus on treasure-hunting heroNathan Drake (to be played by Mark Wahlberg) -- as well as his extended family. 

The writer-director, who said he is now halfway done with his script, told The Los Angeles Times, "This idea really turns me on that there's a family that's a force to be reckoned with in the world of international art and antiquities ... [a family] that deals with heads of state and heads of museums and metes out justice." 

"We'll have the family dynamic, which we've done in a couple of movies now," said Russell, whose past films about dysfunctional familes include Flirting with Disaster and The Fighter. "And then you take that and put it on the bigger, more muscular stage of an international action picture, but also put all the character stuff in it. That's a really cool idea to me." 

Russell also called the urgency of the Uncharted production, a high priority for Columbia Pictures who wants the film out sooner than later, "a locomotive."

my favourite part has to be this "as well as his extended family", wow Drake and his extended family, so we will be seeing father drake, mother drake, grandma drake, grandpa drake, and drake's brother/sisters parents as well by the sounds of it all on an adventure to hunt the "world of international art and antiquities"

I am just loving it already, hopefully SONY has an brain and either A) change the name since it seems totally unrelated, or B) cancel an movie because i could make an better uncharted movie script then he can at the moment 

well i really like national treasure so im fine with it. When is this movie suppose to be coming out anyways?

I always thought Nathan needed a talking dog as a sidekick.  Hopefully, they add this to the script, too!
