I'm guessing the reason people think damage becomes more advanced as the game progresses is because they unlock more premium cars and hence see higher levels of damage. I mean its pretty clear in the IGN article that their saying that advanced damage is not unlocked or else they could have easily clarified it with a single sentence.

premium cars are cars with interior,more detail,has better damage than standard cars.

It doesn't matter if its the already available premium cars or unlocked premium cars as long as your level is low you dont get advance damage, I have the game I tried to trash that subaru as much as I can and the parts didn't come off unlike the level40 video which shows the door getting detact and stuff.

and the car he used is available from the very beggining so no its not because of the LATER PREMIUM cars having more damage.

That patch is expected for tomorrow, December 1st, and will indeed unlock damage.  Only thing you and that dumb reviewer forgot is that said patch will unlock said damage [option] for the arcade mode.

As for those calling on trolling, I do see sources for the claims stated, and there were a few reviews which expressed disappointment at the damage mechanic. Thus, I'm calling it, to this point, as a dissenting opinion.

Erm if i am not wrong kaz simply twit that the mechanical damage "option" will be patched in. Meaning users can turn it on or off right? And not the whole feature to be added in. Well, it may be lost in translation I don't know

Its crazy how many alts and newbies with no avatars come into GT5 threads to troll and flame, I've never seen anything like this in here before. This game must be the current hate project in here (at least the Wii seems to be getting some time off... )and the "horrendous" scores it got from some reviewers is fuel to the fire.

edit; dunno: Yeah, this isn't really trolling but you should check out some of the other GT5 threads, it really is crazy.

Surprisingly, I've not been seeing a lot of alerts on the other threads. I've seen a couple, but looking at context, the few I did were also what I ruled as dissenting opinion.

As for this thread, it was... getting an abnormal amount of mod alerts for trolling. I looked at and ignored the first few, but as they kept coming in, I figured that making an official (?) statement about them might qualm some in this thread.
