The PS3 isn't as doomed as you would think. Between Jan 2010 and Jun 2010 the PS3 and 360 were neck and neck in Americas. Then the X360 slim released and the 360 took off and never looked back.

I think the PS3 will go head to head with 360 next year in America.

I always believed the PS3 to be a convex version pf the PS2 but it is not really Domed but guess some people like flat or concave shapes more.
