I would say the Gamestop employee who made remarks about me Buying A Boy and His Blob. I recall him going really really? Trying to make me feel bad for buying a game I choose is not a way to get me to come back. I did have to go back there but that was to pick up a preorder I had already paid for. Needless to say that is the last time that company gots any money from me.

YOu have to feel for some of these employees at the chain stores. They dont exactly want to work at these places in the first place. You really cant expect them to know everything there is about their department besides maybe what they have in stock or when they should get something in. I could tell you a ton about Wii games and most of the older systems. However, if i was stuck working there for the time being I couldnt tell a whole lot about PS3 PSP or xbox other than some basics. I could tell you next to nothing about the games unless it was a game from a franchise I had played in the past. Even then it would be limited to how much help I could give.

umm must because i live in Australia and most people are nice here. 

But the guys at my local Eb games well most of them already try to swin the deals in your favour and abuse the system. So when i go in an go to cancel the order the go how about you try it and in 7 days if you dont like you can return it despite saying i  heard this game is bad. Or they would grab an pre order bonus thing and scan it so i get 15% an Edge card so i get another 20% added onto my trade in. 

but like i said its not all good. When i went into Game tho, it was an different story. I was told by the community manager that the game should be released here in Australia so i went to the store and the guy had ZERO clue. I asked him if the game is allowed to be sold and was like no clue what you on about. doesn't even check he said do you know someone who works there and i reply "thanks for the help" and left and never returned and haven't brought from game again. 

the benefit of buying online and the advantages of reading comments. How do they get hired anyway??? don't they have to know at least a bit about consoles??.

It's a retail job and it's Wal-Mart, I really wouldn't except too much from anyone there unless you're asking where something is located.

They really have no reason to know anything about the products they're selling.

I have yet to encounter someone from a gamestore who lacks knowlegde.

Mostly because all i ever do when I go to a game store is just look around the PS3/PSP sections and when i go to buy, I just buy and leave.

There's only been one case when I went to pre order Uncharted 2 at JB at the counter and the girl asked if it was for PS3 or X360. I told her it was a PS3 exclusive and we both loled. But it was no biggie since you wouldn't exactly expect someone who works at the counter of a general electronics store to know everything about games so it was all good fun.

I went to gamestop today to be apart of the 2 preowned games get one free.The empolye tried to sell the new tony hawk game saying "you better buy now they are selling fast!"He also tried to sell me force unleashed 2 calling saying it was as good as KOTOR!

That's hilarious!

I can't wait to get to a Gamestop store in the US to experience this kind of humor in person.

The worst part is I asked him if he told other people this he said "Yeah I sold a copy to a mom buying a christmas gift for his son."All I thought was that kid going to have a sad christmas.
