Does the Xbox 360 come with rechargeable batteries, a rechargeable battery pack, or just standard AA batteries?

It comes with 2 AAs and the pack for them. You can buy a Play and Charge kit now for probably under 20$.

No, The rechargeable battery is like 20 or 30 dollars.

its just the backcover of the remote, the batteries slide into it before you snap it in. Its the same on the slim as the original 360

It comes with Standard AA batteries.  The play and charge kit is $15.  You can buy third party battery packs for under $10.  It may cost a few extra bucks but it's nice to be able to just swap a battery pack when it's running low instead of having to play wire connected.

i'll second that. I thought the play and charge would be better but I wish i had the seperate charger
