Of course it won't, but seeing as the PS3 is the better console in my eyes, me don't care!

I just completely lmfao at that. Seriously? What, do you mean hardware wise? Because I sure as hell know you don't mean software wise because there's never been another library as impressive as the PS2's. That console has SO many AAA games and exclusives that it makes even the second closest console look like shit.

You seem to forget some peoples PS3's play PS2 games so...

You seem to forget that CGI-Quality prefers the PS1 over the PS2 even though the latter can play all games of the former, so backwards compability certainly isn't part of the reasoning.

Well of course there are an unlimited amount of reasons why CGI can like the PS3, I mean what is there not to like :P

It's not so much that the PS3 is that good, rather it's that the PS2 sucks. Consider that CGI-Quality's favorite PS3 game is Heavy Rain and remember Quantic Dreams' PS2 game Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit. The game was quite disappointing because the weak PS2 hardware couldn't do David Cage's vision justice, so that's a good and logical reason to consider the PS3 a vastly superior console.

Well it technically is vastly superior in every way except the software, I mean the PS3's got it's amazing games but nothing like the PS2, I don't think any console can compare to the PS2 library.

PS3's got a lot of quality games, but the PS2 had quantity and quality, except for Quantic Dream of course, but how can you go wrong with Team ICO that should make up for QD's failure.

Obviously the PS3 would struggle to top the PS2. PS2 was the best selling home console ever! It's just like when an artist releases an album that explodes worldwide, it becomes really difficult to top it.

That being said the PS3 is doing amazingly well considering how strange this generation is (seriously, Wii in first place is a slap in the face of true gamers), how good the competitor is doing (X360) and how badly the PS3 started out the console race.

EDIT: This post has been moderated. -d1

Don't direct this question to me. It's CGI-Quality who is trolling the PS2 in this thread big time.

I tend to get carried away when it comes to the PS3

This generation is almost over and now is clear that the PS3 will not be in the first place. However we have a very fun race for the second place, I wonder what Sony and MS will do next year to sell more consoles. I mean, most of the big franchises (Gran Turismo, Halo, God of War, Gears of War, Fable, etc) where already released and sometimes re-leased (with sequels, prequels, spin-offs, etc). So how can Sony and MS keep selling consoles? New price drops? New models? New IPs? New Move/Kinect games?

Lol, he makes it sound like it's actually gonna be close. Please.. The PS3 is in its FOURTH year and currently sits well over 100 million behind the PS2, with far more competition than the PS2 had, and the less successful Blu Ray as its selling point rather than DVD. Even outselling PS1 at this point would be nearly impossible. I tink a 75 million lifetime for PS3 is a pretty reasonable prediction. In fact, I think it's being generous.
